Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy brings e-learning to arts fundraising

14th Jul 2017

Develop Essential Skills in Fundraising with a free 2-hour e-learning session

Having delivered numerous training courses for arts and cultural organisations in the last four years, the Arts Council England-funded Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy Programme has identified, via evaluation, that there is a need for flexible e-learning content (accessible via web or mobile) specifically for practitioners working as artists, freelancers, independents or in small arts and cultural organisations.

Thanks to extension funding via Arts Council England until March 2018, the Arts Fundraising team is now creating five bespoke two hour e-learning modules for cultural professionals that offer engaging, relevant and practical overviews of key fundraising areas, the first two courses being developed are: ‘Asking People for Money’ and ‘Trustee Engagement in Fundraising’.

Participants may be at an early stage in their career as fundraising specialists, or they may have other organisational roles but consider fundraising to be an increasingly important element of their work (e.g. producer, artistic director, curator, administrator, creative learning). This bite-size content has been designed to appeal to a wide range of arts and cultural organisations across the sector.

Our first course ‘Asking People for Money’ goes live on 6 June 2017 as a free pilot for 6 weeks. It will include a number of practical videos, case studies and signposted resources for any individual or organisation wanting to devise an individual giving strategy.
