Title of position advertised
Fenland Community Arts Co-ordinator

Fenland Community Arts is a pilot project is being run by CCA in partnership with The Richmond Fellowship.  Under the banner of ‘Fenland Community Arts’ 6 x 6-week courses will take place in March and Wisbech run by local artists.

Cambridge Community Arts (CCA) changes lives through creative participation providing creative courses for adults at risk of social exclusion, primarily due to mental ill-health.  Weekly courses are led by practising artists in a variety of art-forms in community settings.  Taking part in a CCA course improves mental well-being, self-esteem and confidence.

This is an interesting and varied role for someone who enjoys working with a wide range of people.  You will be working as part of a small team making big changes in people’s lives.  The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to organise.  You will have a can-do attitude and be good at problem solving with a smile.  Part of the role will be desk-based so you will be confident with IT but also enjoy attending workshops, meeting and supporting learners.

The post-holder will be responsible for promoting courses, providing administrative support, enrolling learners, communications and organising course materials and venues.  The post-holder will be expected to travel between March and Wisbech attending workshops as necessary.   Initial training will be in Cambridge.

Travel costs will be reimbursed through submission of an expenses claim form.

This is temporary contract ending on 27 July 2018 with an opportunity to renew, dependent on project evaluation and outcomes.
