Peterborough Presents are looking for three artist(s)/arts organisation to deliver three separate community engagement programmes with residents living in the following parts of Peterborough:

Millfield
Hampton
Bretton

Peterborough Presents… is a consortium of local artists, arts organisations and communities working together to create great art in our city.  By great, we mean art that is new, diverse and, most importantly, relevant to local residents. To achieve this we are working with community representatives, voluntary organisations and artists to create and commission events and activities that will be enjoyed by people across the city.

The consortium is led by Vivacity, in partnership with Creative Peterborough,  Metal, Step Up Community Association and Voluntary Arts. Peterborough Presents is part of the Arts Council England funded initiative ‘Creative People and Places’.

As part of our programme, Peterborough Presents has created a series of Community Networks; groups of local residents who we work with to shape and develop new initiatives in their area. These three commissions have been developed in collaboration with Community Networks in Hampton, Bretton and Millfield and each one is different. There are no restrictions on art forms or types of activity however each Community Network has indicated themes or audiences that they would like the project to explore and engage with. Representatives from these networks will be involved in assessing all applications.

Each commission has a total project budget of £10,000. This is inclusive of project outputs, materials, fees, travel expenses and VAT.

Projects are expected to start in April 2017 and last between 3 -6 months.

You are welcome to apply for all three commissions but we are expecting to appoint a different artist/organisation for each commission.

For more information and copies of the full commission briefs please contact Josie Stone, Peterborough Presents Programme Manager at josie.stone@vivacity-peterborough.com or by phone on 01733 864529.
