Primary School Drawing Competition for Bonfire Night

“As you may know, each year Cambridge Live, in partnership with Cambridge City Council, delivers the annual Fireworks display on Midsummer Common. This year’s event will take place on Saturday 4 November, and as usual, we are expecting over 25,000 people to attend.

Each year, the Midsummer Common Fireworks Display promotes safety and unity by keeping down the number of fireworks related accidents from home displays. We are keen to promote this message to local primary schools to hopefully encourage children and their families to attend our safe and free event, rather than have a potentially dangerous display at home.

As such, we are holding a competition across local primary schools asking children to draw their own depictions of Bonfire Night. The entries will be displayed in the VIP marquee at the event, and the winning child will have the opportunity to push the plunger that will start the night’s fireworks display. We will also provide a prize of £250 to the school of the winning entrant.

If your pupils would like to take part, simply send your entries to the address below by post or in person to the Cambridge Live Tickets Office by Friday 20th October 2017.
