King’s Chorister Auditions 10 June 2017

We will be holding auditions on Saturday 10 June for boys in Years 2, 3 and 4 who are interested in becoming choristers in King's College Choir.

At King's we look for potential rather than the finished product. A love of singing, a good ear and a desire to learn are more important to us than previous singing experience. The Director of Music, Stephen Cleobury, is always happy to meet families informally to give advice in advance of the auditions.

Choristers learn so much more than how to sing like angels. They learn to be independent, organised, hardworking, dedicated and self-controlled – skills that serve them well whatever path they choose to follow in the future. They also have unforgettable experiences that last a lifetime – singing at the Proms, touring Australia and the USA, and appearing on television at Christmas.

All King’s choristers are educated at King’s College School, Cambridge, a co-educational prep school, and receive generous bursaries from King’s College. Other means-tested bursaries are available for families who need additional financial support.

If you have any questions, or would like to find out how to become a King's chorister, please contact Sarah Williams at
