Craftworks for Confidence is a five week course that teaches a variety of creative projects to develop skills and understanding of mindfulness. As well the core objectives, further emphasis will be on creating and developing craft products to make and/or sell. Craftworks enable people to make friends, share ideas and inspirations while crafting. This course helps set targets and makes them achievable through small step by step plans. Mindfulness techniques each week such as breathing, sensory immersion and gratitude exercises. Over the five weeks, we will be covering many different aspects of making products to sell but also creating beautiful items for you to take home. The weekly craft projects will explore different ways to improve your well being, for instance using aromatherapy and colour theory in everyday life.

* Create a Vision Board to aid goal setting and explore paper crafting techniques
* Explore Colour theory and therapy.
* Use colourful crystals and jewellery-making skills to make sun catchers
* Learn about Sustainability and the materials and processes that are kind to the environment.
* Explore aromatherapy when making candles
* Explore Symbolism in art to make a self portrait journey canvas for Anonymous Individuals

There is also an opportunity to learn about selling work and how to develop a product for anyone wishing to learn more. As part of the course, learners are encouraged to gain knowledge and experience about events management – learning skills such as organising, set-up and volunteering to run and be part of a Craftworks Collective (self-organised crafting groups run by Craftworks graduates) as well as cooperative selling opportunities including GAP Learning Celebration Event & Anonymous Individuals touring art exhibition.
