Studio spaces available at Wysing Arts Centre

Through Wysing Studios, artists occupy our range of purpose built and converted studio buildings at subsidised rates. Studio artists have access to mentoring sessions with Wysing curatorial staff, access to a year-round programme of public events and exhibitions, and are able to occupy studios for up to five years.

Additional facilities include a ceramics workshop, wi-fi, a communal kitchen open during the day where staff and artists can meet up to take a break and have meetings, and there is ample parking within a rural setting.

Live/Work Studio

In addition to studio space, Wysing has a unique live/work space in which artists can live and work on site for up to one year. Artists who have previously worked from this studio include Gustav Metzger, Uriel Orlow, Phil Root and Jamie Shovlin. In 2015 Rachel Maclean occupied the studio during the early part of the year.

The live/work space is where artists undertake private research but can benefit from access to Wysing's ongoing public programme as well as visiting and residency artists.

There are currently a range of studios available for lease, varying in size and cost. Facilities on site include wi-fi connections, a ceramics studio, a communal dining room and kitchen, where staff and artists can take a break or have meetings, and ample parking.
