Cambridge History for Schools is an exciting outreach initiative from one of the world’s leading History Faculties. Through creative, hands-on activities led by Cambridge University researchers, key stage 2 and 3 pupils are inspired to try out ideas and ask new questions about our past. For full program details please go to http://goo.gl/MnNPZ5.

In addition to our program of Saturday workshops held at Cambridge University through the year, to increase the accessibility of our program, in 2015-16 we are offering school-based workshops. The content of these workshops can be tailored in consultation with schools, and will initially be targeted at school communities in the nearby Cambridgeshire region. If you would like to know more about this or any other aspect of Cambridge History for Schools, do please get in touch with me.

Alongside my work as outreach officer for Cambridge History for Schools, I am currently completing a PhD in History at the University of Cambridge, focussing on questions of gender and self-representation in medieval and early modern Italy. I have broad teaching experience at the university level and have also delivered a number of lectures and workshops for secondary school teachers and pupils. In 2014, I co-directed the inaugural Australian Youth Humanities Forum (http://www.youthhumanities.org).
