Apply Now: COLLABORATE financial support to artists who want to work with a dramaturg

Dramaturgs support artists to develop thinking and vision as they create their work. Our Dramaturg in Residence programme offers different ways to engage with dramaturgy.

COLLABORATE provides financial support to artists who want to work with a dramaturg within their choreographic practice.

If you would value some time with South East Dance’s own Dramaturg in Residence Lou Cope, Guest Dramaturgs Martin Hargreaves or Luke Pell, or there is a different dramaturg that you would like to work with – you can apply for up to 5 days of support to work with a dramaturg.

Here are just a few ways you might want to work with a dramaturg:

  • Ongoing Skype consultations to support you throughout a process.
  • Research and development prior to going into rehearsal.
  • Time with a dramaturg in the studio during a rehearsal process.
  • Dedicated time to reflect on your current practice / future development.
  • A combination of the above…

Deadline for applications is 10am Friday 1 December

We welcome applications from artists who identify as disabled and/or are from a BAME background. Successful applicants will be invited to discuss access needs.

PLEASE NOTE: You do not have to be resident in the South East or the UK to apply for Collaborate. Nationwide and international applications are welcome.
