Fund title
Area Committee Community Grants (various deadlines)


Area Committee Community Grants are available to voluntary and community groups providing activities which reduce social and economic inequality.

Activities must address our funding priorities and outcomes and benefit people living in one of the four areas of Cambridge City:

  • North: covering the wards Arbury, East Chesterton, King’s Hedges & West Chesterton
  • East: covering the wards Abbey, Coleridge, Petersfield & Romsey
  • South: covering the wards Cherry Hinton, Queen Edith’s & Trumpington
  • West Central: covering the wards Castle, Market & Newnham


Funding priorities that could be considered are:

  • sporting activities
  • arts and cultural activities
  • community development activities
  • legal and/or financial advice
  • employment support
  • capacity building of the voluntary sector to achieve the above
  • community projects aiming to tackle crime, the fear of crime or anti-social behaviour

Application deadlines:

North: 29 January 2018

West Central: 6 February 2018

East: 28 February 2018

South: 12 March 2018

Decisions on awards will be made at the relevant Area Committee in March/April.
